Enterprises sign many export contracts early this year

VietBusinessNews - Many enterprises have signed export contracts with their partners since the beginning of the New Year despite global economic downturn.

Notably among these are contracts to export nearly 900,000 tonnes, a record high in the past several years. Vietnam has recently completed procedures for the signing of a contract to export 1.5 million of tonnes of rice to the Philippines. In February, local enterprises will continue to sign contracts worth US$50-60 million to export rice to the US, Japan and some Middle Eastern countries.

Many export contracts have been signed by seafood companies in the southernmost province of Ca Mau, showing an increase of 25 percent compared to the same period last year.

For the garment and textile sector, name brands such as Viet Tien Garment Company, Garment 10, and Nha Be Garment claim to have received enough orders to keep them busy through the end of this quarter, or even mid-year.
